Milwaukee has not only announced the next generation Shockwave bits, but they also have all new Shockwave Matrix Carbide bit releases. All bits are impact rated and included in the Shockwave name.
The new Shockwave Matrix Carbide bits have acombination of proprietary Matrix Carbide Steel and optimized Shockzone technology to deliver extreme wear resistance while still being able to absorb the peak torque of an impact driver. The Lifetime Tip Warranty ensures that users will be able drive fasteners even after other bits fail. This is a revolutionary breakthrough in driver bit technology. Milwaukee claims that these bits can drive 2800 screws more than premium bits.

The next generation Shockwave bits wereengineered to extend bit life with a Custom ALLOY76 Steel for up to 50X more life, and will feature a new WEAR GUARD TIP to protect the fit over the life of the bit. A well-designed shockzone absorbs peak torque and prevents it from breaking. The next generation shockwave bits are available Spring.
